Wolfsong Ranch Foundation is a non-profit organization that operates the sanctuary.  The sanctuary is supported entirely through membership, donations and adoption through sponsorship of resident animals.  We are dedicated to providing a safe, healthy home for unwanted and abandoned wolves and wolf dogs that have been bred in captivity and held privately as pets.Wolfsong Ranch Foundation began in Dos Cabezas, Arizona to provide sanctuary for unwanted and abused wolves and wolf dogs.  By 2000, the animal population had grown to around 200 on the 40-acre site.  To provide for future growth, Wolfsong Ranch was relocated near Rodeo, New Mexico in 2000.  Wolfsong Ranch currently sits on over 440 acres of high desert in southwestern New Mexico and is situated between the Chiricahua and Peloncillo mountains.  The current animal population at Wolfsong is just over 300.Wolfsong Ranch has over 70 compounds for its wolf and wolf dog inhabitants.  All of the compounds have shelters to protect the animals during extreme weather conditions.  In many cases the animals have opted to dig their own dens to provide shelter.  Water is provided from two wells on the property and the compounds are continually being improved upon.  Wolfsong also has fully functioning facilities to provide emergency veterinary services. Daytime tours are open to the public throughout the year (by appointment only).  All daytime tours are scheduled between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Saturday.  Please contact us soon to schedule your visit!
